Herrera Dance Project is a proud 501(c)(3) organization, and is thrilled to announce our recent receipt of a $12,000 Arts Activate Grant from the City of Dallas, along with a $1,000 donation from Dallas Attorney and former LULAC President Domingo Garcia. These generous contributions play a vital role in enabling us to continue offering free programming to the DFW community, ensuring we can cover rehearsal space costs, compensate our talented performers, and manage other associated expenses.
We are currently raising funds for our upcoming production, Unanswered for 77: The Time Between. This poignant and thought-provoking dance performance addresses the tragic events surrounding the school shooting committed by a teenage boy, during which law enforcement waited 77 minutes before responding in Uvalde Texas. Through a powerful blend of contemporary dance and evocative storytelling, this production explores themes of grief, loss, and the urgent need for change in the face of violence. Your support is crucial in bringing this important narrative to life and fostering meaningful dialogue within our community. Thank you for helping us make a difference!
